Connect an AI agent to your design project

Start from the project you want to work on

1. Open your project

   Sign in and open the intended project in NOMOREDA. To create project-specific agent access, you need to be the project owner.

2. Open the agent panel

   Choose Tools → MCP access and agent activity. Under Set up your agent, select Connect agent or Copy setup prompt. The label can change when an agent is already connected.

3. Complete setup in your agent tool

   Paste the copied setup prompt into the agent tool you intend to use and follow its connection flow. If the tool supports NOMOREDA sign-in, review the requested project access and permissions before authorizing it.

4. Verify the connection

   Confirm that the intended agent appears as connected in NOMOREDA. Ask it to identify the project and inspect the design before requesting changes. Copying a setup prompt alone does not establish a connection.

NOMOREDA also offers account-level agent connections. An existing app connection may already cover your project; the project panel indicates this. Review whether a connection applies to one project, selected projects, or the account's projects.

The NOMOREDA connection does not require an OpenAI API key. The agent tool you use has its own account requirements, features, and terms.

Choose the access the task needs

Permission and tool support are separate. Edit access does not mean that every requested operation is available. Supported actions depend on the design format, the connected client, and service availability. A request may be refused when the operation cannot be supported.

Connected agents receive the project information needed for their requests. Review your agent provider's data settings and the NOMOREDA privacy policy before connecting private designs.

Use manual MCP setup when needed

For a compatible client that needs manual configuration, expand Or set up manually in the agent panel. Copy the MCP endpoint shown there, download the agent skill, and follow your client's instructions for installing that skill.

A project owner can create a project-only token with an agent name and a read-only or read-and-edit permission. The account connection panel can create app-wide tokens, so check which panel you are using. Supply a token through your client's Authorization: Bearer TOKEN setting. Tokens are shown only once; keep them out of URLs, project files, and public messages.

Use the endpoint and setup information provided by your own NOMOREDA session. Client support for remote MCP, sign-in, and persistent skills can vary.

Follow activity and disconnect when finished

The project's agent panel shows connected agents and tool-call activity. Use it alongside the schematic and board to review what is happening. Keep saved versions and export independent copies of important work.

Use Disconnect for an app connection or Revoke for a project token. An account-level connection may show Manage to open its connection controls. Project-only access is managed by the project owner.

Revoking or disconnecting stops future access through that connection. It does not erase the project, previously exported files, or copies already held by the agent provider. Reconnect when you need a different project or permission.

Begin with a bounded task

For a first session, ask the agent to describe the connected project's schematic and PCB, identify the relevant documents, and report what it can inspect. Then agree on a specific change and review the result. Agent output and automated checks still require engineering judgment.
